TY - CONF A1 - Gulikers, J. A1 - Millar, Steven A1 - Wilsch, Gerd T1 - Practical application of Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy for determination of the chloride content in concrete structures N2 - The relevance of chloride measurements in practice for durability condition assessment and a description of the working principle of LIBS will be given. A comparison of chloride profiles obtained by the common wet chemical analysis and results from LIBS measurements are shown to demonstrate the accuracy of the LIBS-technique. In addition, an example on the extra information resulting from measurements performed with LIBS for improvement of condition assessment and prediction will be shown.
