This rearrangement product was characterised by NMR spectroscopy and X-ray analysis as well as absorption and fluorescence spectroscopy. Additionally, the chemical and complexation behaviour of the N-anthrylcarbonylthiourea derivative is compared to that of its naphthyl and phenyl analogues.
