T1 - Evidence for particle-specific and coating-related uptake of silver nanoparticles T2 - Toxicology Letters N2 - Present data indicate that the quantification of silver nanoparticle internalization revealed a clear particle-specific and coatingrelated uptake. Furthermore, a high amount of silver nanoparticles is taken up in cell models of higher complexity. Thus, an underestimation of particle effects in vitro might be prevented by considering cell models with greater proximity to the in vivo situation.
