Design of an energy-autonomous sensor with wireless data data transmission for use on rollers
(2023)
Mechanically moving parts such as rollers in belt conveyor systems are subject to wear and tear that limits their service life. Damage causes loss of production as well as damage to the entire production plant. A system design is presented with which it is possible to record and wirelessly transmit relevant measured values in or on rollers without an additional voltage source. The system should work largely maintenance-free and be realisable with components currently freely available on the market.
Rotating parts such as shafts, gear wheels, ball bearings or rollers are subject to wear that limits their life cycle. Damage causes loss of production and consequential damage to the entire pro- duction plant. Based on the application in a support roller, a system design is presented with which it is possible to record and wirelessly transmit relevant measured values in or on rotating machines without an additional voltage source. The system is largely maintenance-free and can be implemented with components that are currently freely available on the market.
Rotating parts such as shafts, gear wheels, ball bearings or rollers are subject to wear that limits their lifetime. Damage causes production downtime and consequential damage to the entire production plant. This system design makes it possible to record and wirelessly transmit measured values on rotating parts without an additional voltage source. The prototype is presented using the example of an application on a support roller and the economic efficiency of the system is
analysed.
The Vibro Displacement Column (VDC) is one of the most widely-used techniques in
ground improvement. The present design of the column is exposed to high stresses from the soil during operation. There has been an increased fracture failure on basic parts of this VDC which has led to increase the downtime in construction projects. The major points of failures are identified and analyzed. Optimized design is presented after undergoing functionality experiments.
Rotating parts such as shafts, gear wheels, ball bearings or idlers are subject to wear that limits their service life. Damage causes production downtime and consequential damage to the entire production plant. Based on the application in an idler roller, a system design is presented with which it is possible to record and wirelessly transmit relevant measured values in or on rotating machines without an additional voltage source. The system is largely maintenance-free and can be realised with components that are currently freely available on the market.
