Ein einfacher Ansatz zu Untersuchungen von Quenchvorgängen

  • The quenching of hot gas has a wide range of industrial application, for example in power plants and incineration plants. Starting with the model development by Abramzon and Sirignano the gas phase properties were considered by implementation of a so called characteristic gas volume. The aim of this improved calculation method is to study detail processes as well as the sizing and optimiziation of quenching plants. For one chosen operation condition of quenching processes calculation results are given. Among other things the temperature and velocity regimes depending on the nozzle distance are shown. Detail results like the influence of the water temperature on the gas temperature during the quenching process are presented.The theoretical results show a qualitative goog agreement with practical measurements.
