Volume 1 N2 - Unsteady turbulent flows with solid particles of different sizes in the cyclone were studied numerically and experimentally. The grid studies and influence of the boundary condition prescription on the flow behavior in the cyclone and the effectiveness of the particle separation were studied firstly numerically. The turbulent flow was calculated by means of Large Eddy Simulations and this flow problem was calculated parallel using eight processors. It was found theoretically that pressure at the bottom outlet of the cyclone has a significant impact on the particle separation. This impact of the pressure at the cyclone function was examined also using experiments and pressure distributions for different flow rate intensities for several locations in the cyclone were determined. These experimental results can be used for a validation of numerical results. Furthermore, the larger losses were observed in the immersion tube due to higher flow velocity and impulse exchange in the vortex core. The results are also displayed in Excel using a number of cutting parameters. For this purpose, the article shows the results of both high-speed milling and high-speed turning of a machine with different types of tools, as well as processing of one tool on different types of machines. Unlike other machines, in general, the work on the machines of universal processing centers turned out to be more productive. The feed rate of the machine tools is the focus area here. If we increase cutting values, then the tool life is reduced and that leads to higher tool costs. With universal high-performance machines we cannot save costs for tools (we can only save machine tool costs). Compared to universal high-performance machines, we can save tool costs with Universal Machining Center. Therefore, it is suggested to the machining with the universal machining center, although the machining time and cutting time is faster with the universal high-performance machine. N2 - В статье показаны результаты как высокоскоростной фрезерной, так и высокоскоростной токарной обработки станка с разными типами инструментов, а также обработки одного инструмента на разных типах станков. В отличие от других станков, работа на станках универсальных обрабатывающих центров оказалась более производительной. В центре внимания здесь скорости подачи станков. Если мы увеличиваем параметры резания, то срок службы инструмента снижается, что приводит к увеличению затрат на инструмент. С универсальными высокопроизводительными станками мы не можем сэкономить на инструментах (мы можем сэкономить только на станках). По сравнению с универсальными высокопроизводительными станками, мы можем сэкономить на инструментальных средствах с помощью универсального обрабатывающего центра. The dimensions were also measured using two-dimensional (2D) sections of the scanned samples. It has been determined that the clean waterjet cutting tends to separate soft materials such as plastic, foil, foam or paper, as well as food. Unlike the pure waterjet cutting, the abrasive cutting is used for hard materials such as steel, ceramics, glass. The optimal pressure for material processing has been calculated. Particular emphasis is placed on the separation of composite materials, which cannot be satisfactorily accomplished using conventional methods. N2 - В статье приведены результаты исследования производственных допусков при водоструйной резке методом трехмерных (3D) измерений: отклонения формы были показаны путем трехмерного справнения отсканированных образцов. Размеры были измерены также с использованием двухмерных (2D) срезов отсканированных образцов. Определено, что чистая водоструйная резка имеет тенденцию отделять мягкие материалы, такие как пластмасса, фольга, пена или бумага, а также пища. МАШИНОСТРОЕНИЕ N2 - Разработка технологии механической обработки восстанавливаемых в ремонтном производстве деталей, включающая в себя выбор способа и режимов их обработки, режущего инструмента и др., является сложной задачей, решение которой определяет качество восстанавливаемых изделий. Качество механической обработки во многом зависит от обрабатываемости металла, под которой понимают способность материала подвергаться резанию. Рассмотрены особенности механической обработки втулок по- сле восстановления изношенной внутренней поверхности, состоящей из черного, чи- стового и тонкого растачивания, а также операции хонингования. При механической обработке восстанавливаемых втулок наибольшую трудность представляют операции чернового и чистового растачивания, так как после индукционного напекания с по- следующим раскатыванием твердость получаемых слоев находится в пределах HRC 48…55, что усложняет работу резцов при растачивании втулок. Для наплавки на де- тали, работающие в условиях изнашивания (коррозионного, эрозионного и термиче- ского), применяют порошок ПГ-СР2, имеющий систему легирования Ni–Cr–B–Si. Значительную волнистость и шероховатость поверхности, возникающую в результате наплавки, устраняют накатыванием. Одним из важных вопросов при обработке по- крытий, нанесенных центробежным индукционным напеканием с последующим рас- катыванием, является выбор материала и геометрических параметров режущего ин- струмента для чернового и чистового растачивания. При правильном выборе матери- ала и геометрических параметров расточного резца можно значительно уменьшить износ режущего инструмента, что позволит увеличить его стойкость и производи- тельность обработки, а следовательно, снизить себестоимость изготовления детали. Исследовано влияние технологических параметров на износ и геометрических пара- метров на стойкость режущего инструмента с целью оптимизации условий растачи- вания восстановленных цилиндров судовых двигателей. N2 - Design and development of a technology for machining the parts to be restored in the repair industry includes selection of their machining method and modes, cutting tools, etc., and is a complex task, which solution determines the restored product quality. Machining quality largely depends on the metal machinability, which is understood as the material ability to be cut. The paper considers features of a bush machining after restoration of the worn inner surface, this operation consists of black, clean and fine boring, as well as of honing. Opera- tions of black and clean boring are the most difficult in machining the restored bushes. This happens because hardness of the resulting layers is in the range of HRC 48…55 after induc- tion sintering with subsequent rolling, which complicates the cutters operation in bush bor- ing. The PG-SR2 powder having the Ni-Cr-B-Si alloying system is used in the built-up weld- ing of parts working under wear, corrosion, erosion and elevated temperature conditions. Rolling is eliminating significant waviness and surface roughness resulting from sintering. One of the important issues in machining the coatings applied by centrifugal induction sin- tering is selection of the cutting tool material for black and clean boring. МАШИНОСТРОЕНИЕ N2 - Распределение температуры во втулке цилиндра судового двигателя при ее нагреве и охлаждении — один из важнейших факторов, под действием которых формируются структура и свойства покрытий в процессе восстановления цилиндра методом центро- бежного индукционного напекания. Проведены экспериментальные исследования, позволившие получить графики распределения температуры по диаметрам втулки ци- линдра судового двигателя при ее нагреве и охлаждении. Установлено, что на процесс напекания порошковых материалов существенно влияют теплофизические свойства втулки. Изменяя скорость нагрева, можно получать покрытия при различных значени- ях температуры и времени напекания. Выполнено моделирование распределения тем- пературы в стенке втулки цилиндра при центробежном индукционном напекании в за- висимости от времени напекания, а также с учетом геометрических параметров втулки, теплоотдачи, теплопроводности, материала втулки, температуры внешней среды и т. д. Получены выражения для определения распределения температуры в стенке втулки цилиндра при центробежном индукционном напекании. Задавая значения параметров центробежного индукционного напекания, по полученным формулам можно смодели- ровать и заранее получить распределение температуры в стенке втулки цилиндра. Для визуального отображения изменения температурного поля во втулке при центробеж- ном индукционном напекании выполнено моделирование в среде Autodesk Fusion 360. N2 - The temperature distribution in the ship engine cylinder sleeve during its heating and cooling is one of the most important factors affecting formation of the structure and properties of coatings in the process of cylinder recovery by the method of induction centrifugal sintering. The article discusses experimental studies, which allow presenting graphs of the temperature distribution over the diameters of the ship engine cylinder sleeve during its heating and cool- ing. The thermophysical properties of the sleeve were found to significantly affect the process of sintering powder materials. By varying the heating rate, it is possible to obtain coatings at different temperatures and sintering time. Modeling the temperature distribution in the wall of the cylinder sleeve during centrifugal induction sintering depending on the sintering time is of interest as well as taking into account the geometrical parameters of the sleeve, heat trans- fer, thermal conductivity, sleeve material, ambient temperature, etc. Expressions are obtained for determining the temperature distribution in the wall of the cylinder sleeve during induc- tion centrifugal sintering. Using the obtained formulas, it is possible to simulate and obtain in advance the temperature distribution in the wall of the cylinder sleeve by setting the values of the parameters of centrifugal induction sintering. Modeling in the Autodesk Fusion 360 the temperature distribution in the sleeve during induction heating was obtained as well as visual display of the change in the temperature field in the sleeve during induction heating. Mit dem Internationalen Tag in Senftenberg bestehend aus internationalem Brückenbauwettbewerb mit Liveschaltung zur SSOU nach Shanghai und den weiteren internationalen Vorträgen sowie dem Ingenieurtag mit Informationen über Forschungsprofessuren, Automatisierungstechnik und Fabrikplanung. Ein Treffen von Absolventen rundet diese Programmwoche ab. Die Fakultät Maschinenbau, Elektro- und Energiesysteme entstand 2016 im Zuge der Neustrukturierung der Fakultäten der BTU CS nach ihrer Neugründung im Jahre 2013. Sie ging aus den Vorgängerfakultäten Maschinenbau, Elektrotechnik und Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen am Campus Cottbus und der Fakultät für Ingenieurwissenschaften am Campus Senftenberg hervor. Hier sind jetzt die Kompetenzen des Maschinenbau und der Elektround Energietechnik vereint. Der Austausch mit Wissenschaftler aus anderen Ländern wird als Tradition an beiden Standorten gelebt. Neben dem Empfang von Wissenschaftlern und Studierenden gehört auch der Besuch in den jeweiligen Ländern dazu. Mit der Gründung des internationalen Netzwerkes neseff im Jahr 2015 in Baku entstand ein Netzwerk, das sich mit seinen Schwerpunkten Energieerzeugung und Energieeffizienz mit bedeutenden und zentralen Fragen der modernen Volkswirtschaften auf breitem Gebiet beschäftigt. Es hat seine Heimstatt im IURS e.V., einem An-Institut der BTU CS. Die Tatsache, dass weitere osteuropäische Universitäten dem Netzwerk beitreten werden, stärkt das Netzwerk und seine Akteure. Zwischen den GUS- und Osteuropatagen der Fakultät 3, die erstmalig stattfinden und dem bereits zum 3. Each sheet was tested experimentally in a wind tunnel at airflow of free-stream-velocity of 18 m/s and Reynold’s number based on the respective sheet thickness in the range of 1800-4200. The experiment was based on measuring the aero-dynamic sound generated by each sheet using a microphone. Moreover, it was based on measuring the velocity fluctuation after the sheets trailing edge by a Hot Wire Anemometer (HWA). Finally, an acoustic camera was used to locate the locations of sound sources in the flow. On the other hand, the numerical analysis used turbulence model as Large Eddy Simulation with Kinetic Energy Transport as a sub-grid model. Ffowcs-Williams & Hawkings model was used to predict the acoustic sources. Agreements were found between the trend of acoustic noise produced from experiment and numerical simulation over some ranges of frequency. The experiment has showed that the three sheets had comparable sound pressure level over the whole spectrum while the numerical results have showed that KMT sheet has achieved significant loudness at frequencies under 400 Hz while the WAB sheet has achieved significant quietness at frequencies below 400 Hz. The velocity contours obtained from the simulation showed that flow is laminar over some length before it changes to turbulent at a transition point. This behavior agrees with other data presented for long sheets subjected to flow of similar values of Reynolds Number. An important point is the recording of the damage and the consideration of all facts around the operation and the history of the machine. The investigations in the laboratory confirmed the facts gathered in the hypothesis [1]. The main cause to be assumed is the age of the machine and the resulting load changes, in connection with the additional holes and the carbide concentration. By an unfavourable coincidence, a borehole was drilled in a place where there was a high concentration of carbides. From the already partially corroded fracture edges, it can be assumed that it was a gradual process until the final fracture of the component occurred. The fracture of the component could be prevented in the future by a different maintenance strategy for machines of the same construction [2]. For technical reasons, their operation is associated with noise emissions. During inspections and maintenance this can lead to increased noise exposure of employees. In the vicinity of residential buildings or in areas needing protection, exceeding the emission limits can lead to a temporary restriction of the operation of these high performance installations. Measures are required to reduce the noise impact primarily at the source or in the immediate vicinity. The acoustic and mechanical parameters are investigated on a test bench at the Technical University of Brandenburg (BTU) Cottbus-Senftenberg as part of the drive assembly tests in cooperation with LEAG. The stages of these tests are: Run-up test. In this test the supporting roller is accelerated under test load to a circumferential speed of 10 m/s and the sound pressure level is recorded. This makes it possible to calculate the sound emission as a function of the peripheral speed; Recording the geometry of the idler gear. An accurate description of the geometry of the idler housing allows conclusions to be drawn about the possible causes of excitation. The defined characteristics serve to quantify the acoustic effect of the driven rollers and derive specifications for use in belt conveyor systems. Based on the special requirements to the planned belt conveyor system, an adapted selection of low-noise idler rollers can be made at an early stage on the basis of specified parameters and confirmed test results. Die Erwärmung überträgt sich auf das Schmiermittel und beeinflusst damit die Schmierfähigkeit sowie das Fließverhalten des Schmiermittels. Der Labyrinthdichtring einer Tragrolle wurde für die Untersuchung der Eigenerwärmung mit Temperatursensoren ausgerüstet. Auf einem Tragrollenprüfstand der BTU Cottbus-Senftenberg wurden während mehrerer Langzeitversuche die Temperaturen gemessen und aufgezeichnet. Die aufgenommenen Temperaturkurven zeigen den typischen Verlauf eines Verzögerungsgliedes 1.Ordnung wobei die Aufheiz- und Abkühlkurven unterschiedliche Zeitkonstanten aufweisen. Außerdem zeigen sich teilweise kurz vor dem Übergang zum stationären Zustand weitere kurzzeitige Temperaturerhöhungen.
