MATERIALS AND METHODS: Data of 50 consecutive patients, who underwent HPB surgery from 04/2018 to 07/2018 were prospectively collected for this study. During surgery, IOUS with a high-resolution ultrasound device using CEUS after bolus injection of 2.4–5 ml Sulphur hexafluoride microbubbles using a 6–9 MHz probe and a share wave and strain elastography was performed by an experienced examiner. Process and time analysis were carried out using mobile phone timer. RESULTS: The IOUS with CEUS and elastography correctly identified 42 malignant tumors and 4 benign lesions. In 3 cases, the examination provided false positive result (identifying 3 benign lesions as malignant) and in 1 case a malignant lesion was incorrectly assessed as benign (sensitivity 97,7%, specificity 57,1%, PPV 93,3% and NPV 80%). The specific question by the surgeon could be answered successfully in 98% of the cases. In 76% of the cases, there was a modification (42%) or a fundamental change (34%) of the planned surgical approach due to the information provided by the IOUS. Within the last group, the IOUS had a major impact on therapy outcome. In 7 patients an additional tumor resection was required, in 5 patients the tumor was assessed as inoperable, and in total in 5 patients an intraoperative RFA (4/5) or postoperative RITA (1/5) was required. Regarding procedural input, there was only a slight, but significant difference between the transport and set-up times before the intraoperative use (mean: 14 min 22 s) and the return transport (mean 13 min 6 s), (p = 0,038). The average examination time was 14 minutes, which makes only one third of the overall time demand. CONCLUSION: Combination of IOUS with CEUS and elastography in oncological HPB surgery provides valuable information that affects surgical decision-making. The procedural input of about 45 minutes seems to be a good investment considering the improvement of the surgical procedure and a significant modification of the therapy approach in the majority of the cases. In this topical review, an introduction to these new thin-film systems is given. The concept of quasicrystals and their approximants is explained for BaTiO3 and SrTiO3 derived OQCs and related periodic structures in these 2D oxides. In situ microscopy unravels the high-temperature formation process of OQCs on Pt(111). The dodecagonal structure is discussed regarding tiling statistics and tiling decoration based on the results of atomically resolved scanning tunneling microscopy and various diffraction techniques. In addition, angle-resolved ultraviolet photoemission spectroscopy and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results prove a metallic character of the 2D oxide. For instance 1-(3,4-dimethoxyphenyl)-2-(2-methoxy-phenoxy)pro- pane-1,3-diol, a recalcitrant dimeric lignin model compound that represents the major non-phenolic substructure in lignin, was selectively O-demethylated at the para-methoxy group to give formaldehyde and 1-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)- 2-(2-methoxyphenoxy)propane-1,3-diol. The phenol moiety of the latter compound was then enzymatically oxidized into phenoxy radicals and a quinoid cation, which initiated the autocatalytic cleavage of the dimer and the formation of monomers such as 2-methoxy-1,4-benzoquinone and phenoxyl-substituted propionic acid. The introduction of 18O from H218O2 and H218O at different positions into the products provided information about the routes of ether cleavage. Studies with a 14C-labeled lignin model dimer showed that more than 70% of the intermediates formed were further coupled to form polymers with molecular masses above 10 kDa. The results indicate that fungal aromatic peroxyge- nases may be involved in the bioconversion of methoxylated plant ingredients originating from lignin or other sources. Here we report that aromatic peroxygenases (APOs; EC 1.11.2.1) secreted by the agaric fungi Agrocybe aegerita and Coprinellus radians catalyzed the H₂O₂-dependent selective monooxygenation of diverse drugs, including acetanilide, dextrorphan, ibuprofen, naproxen, phenacetin, sildenafil and tolbutamide. Reactions included the hydroxylation of aromatic rings and aliphatic side chains, as well as O- and N-dealkylations and exhibited different regioselectivities depending on the particular APO used. At best, desired HDMs were obtained in yields greater than 80% and with isomeric purities up to 99%. Oxidations of tolbutamide, acetanilide and carbamazepine in the presence of H₂¹⁸O₂ resulted in almost complete incorporation of ¹⁸O into the corresponding products, thus establishing that these reactions are peroxygenations. The deethylation of phenacetin-d₁ showed an observed intramolecular deuterium isotope effect [(k(H)/k(D))(obs)] of 3.1±0.2, which is consistent with the existence of a cytochrome P450-like intermediate in the reaction cycle of APOs. Our results indicate that fungal peroxygenases may be useful biocatalytic tools to prepare pharmacologically relevant drug metabolites. AaeAPO contains a covalently bound heme-thiolate as the redox active group that exchanges directly electrons with the electrode via the gold nanoparticles. The formal potential E ° ′ of AaeAPO in the gold nanoparticles-chitosan film was estimated to be −(286 ± 9) mV at pH 7.0. The heterogeneous electron transfer rate constant (ks) increases from 3.7 in the scan rate range from 0.2 to 3.0 V s−1 and level off at 63.7 s−1. Furthermore, the peroxide-dependent hydroxylation of aromatic compounds was applied to develop a sensor for naphthalene and nitrophenol. The amperometric measurements of naphthalene are based on the indication of H2O2 consumption. For the chitosan-embedded gold nanoparticle system, the linear range extends from 4 to 40 μM naphthalene with a detection limit of 4.0 μM (S/N = 3) and repeatability of 5.7% for 40 μM naphthalene. This paper describes a peroxygenase-specific assay using 5-nitro-1,3-benzodioxole as substrate. The product, 4-nitrocatechol, produces a yellow color at pH 7, which can be followed over time at 425 nm (ε425 = 9,700 M−1 cm−1), and a red color when adjusted to pH >12, which can be measured in form of an end-point determination at 514 nm (ε514 = 11,400 M−1 cm−1). The assay is suitable for detecting peroxygenase activities in complex growth media and environmental samples as well as for high-throughput screenings. Thereby, the knowledge about an output displacement or force as well as the detailed mounting position is not necessary for the application. The newly developed objective function makes use of the varying stress distribution in the cross section of flexible structures. Hence, each element of the design space must be evaluated with respect to its stress state. Therefore, the method prefers elements experiencing a bending or shear load over elements which are mainly subjected to membrane stresses. In order to determine the stress state of the elements, we use the principal stresses at the Gauss points. For demonstrating the feasibility of the new topology optimization approach, three academic examples are presented and discussed. As a result, the developed sensitivity-based algorithm is able to find usable flexible design concepts with a nearly discrete 0 − 1 density distribution for these examples. Vor diesem Hintergrund ist es nicht verwunderlich, dass die kindliche Sprachentwicklung unter besonderer elterlicher, erzieherischer und ärztlicher Beobachtung steht. In der nationalen Fachliteratur wird immer wieder zur Diskussion gestellt, dass die Zahl von Sprachentwicklungsstörungen einschließlich der daraus resultierenden Lern- und Verhaltensstörungen in den letzten Jahren drastisch angestiegen sei. Um dieser Frage nachzugehen, wurden die vollständigen Datensätze des Kinder- und Jugendärztlichen Dienstes (KJÄD) der Einschulungsuntersuchungen der Jahre 2008/2009, 2009/2010 und 2010/2011 des Gesundheitsamtes Dresden ausgewertet. Für die Erfassung von Sprachentwicklungsauffälligkeiten kommt seit dem Schuljahr 2004/05 das Screening des Entwicklungsstandes S-ENS zum Einsatz. Ziel dieser Arbeit war es, die aktuellen Prävalenzraten kindlicher Sprachentwicklungsauffälligkeiten in Dresden zu ermitteln. Für die Beurteilung möglicher sozialer Einflüsse auf die Sprachentwicklung wurde ein weiterer unabhängiger Datensatz der Kommunalen Bürgerumfrage aus dem Jahr 2010 hinzugezogen. Die Ergebnisse bestätigten im Untersuchungszeitraum einen leichten Anstieg der auffälligen Testergebnisse des KJÄD von insgesamt 2,8 Prozent, welcher zwischen den einzelnen Ortsämtern sehr stark divergiert. Der Extremgruppenvergleich zeigte anhand der Daten der KBU mögliche Hinweise für soziale Einflüsse auf die Sprachentwicklung des Kindes auf. Die Ergebnisse unterscheiden sich mit 12,5 Prozent zwischen den Punktwertresultaten des S-ENS und der Gesamtbeurteilung des Sprachergebnisses der Ärzte deutlich. Die Ergebnisse dieser Arbeit bestätigen keinen eindeutigen Anstieg der kindlichen Sprachauffälligkeiten in Dresden. Eine weitere Erfassung des Sprachstandes mit Hilfe des S-ENS sollte kritisch überdacht werden. Ein kausaler Einfluss sozioökonomischer Faktoren auf die Sprachentwicklung war anhand der Datensätze nicht beurteilbar und sollte in weiteren Studien untersucht werden. Dadurch ist, forciert durch die Verfolgung unterschiedlicher Interessen, ein Bild des generellen motorischen Leistungsverlustes entstanden, das mit Blick auf die gesellschaftliche Leistungsfähigkeit unter anderem physiotherapeutische Interventionen im Vorschulbereich postuliert. Die hier vorliegende Studie widmet sich dieser Thematik und untersucht den Status konditioneller Fähigkeiten von Vorschulkindern. Dabei wurden ausgewählte Kindergärten des Großraumes Dresden mittels Deutschem Motorik – Test unter weitestgehend standardisierten Feldbedingungen analysiert. Im Ergebnis zeigt sich, dass im Bereich der konditionellen Fähigkeiten nur die Kraftausdauer der Bauchmuskulatur und die aerobe Ausdauerleistungsfähigkeit Defizite aufweisen. Letzteres verdeutlicht sich signifikant bei 6-jährigen Vorschulkindern, die in altersgemischten Gruppen betreut werden. Insgesamt ist zu schlussfolgern, dass ein weit angelegter Einsatz physiotherapeutischer Interventionen für die gezogene Stichprobe im Bereich der Dimension „konditionelle Fähigkeiten“ nicht notwendig ist. Unter primärpräventivem Charakter ist aber die Kräftigung der Bauchmuskulatur (hier Kraftausdauer) und die Verbesserung der aeroben Ausdauerleistungsfähigkeit nachzusteuern. With the exploration of two-dimensional materials such as graphene and new device architectures, HETs are poised to revolutionize the landscape of modern electronics. This study highlights a novel HET structure with a record output current density of 800 A/cm² and a high current gain α, fabricated using a scalable fabrication approach. The HET structure comprises two-dimensional hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) and graphene layers wet transferred to a germanium substrate. The combination of these materials results in exceptional performance, particularly in terms of the highly saturated output current density. The scalable fabrication scheme used to produce the HET opens up opportunities for large-scale manufacturing. The device is called graphene-base heterojunction transistor (GBHT). The base-voltage controls the current of the device flowing from the emitter via graphene to the collector. The transit time for electrons passing by the ultrathin graphene layer is extremely short which makes the device very promising for high frequency RF-electronics. The output current of the device is saturated and clearly modulated by the base voltage. Further, the silicon collector of the GBHT is replaced by germanium to improve the device performance. This enabled the collector current to be increased by almost three orders of magnitude. Also, the common-emitter current gain (Ic/Ib) increased from 10-3 to approximately 0.3 for the newly designed device. However, the ON-OFF ratio of the improved germanium based GBHT has so far been rather low. Further optimizations are necessary in order to fully exploit the potential of the graphene-base heterojunction transistor. In contrast, the knowledge concerning the differing context factors and the underlying mechanisms of current PSC which could inform policy recommendations is scant. The study aims at unravelling the contexts, mechanisms and outcomes of PSC for UMRs. For a realist review (RR), scientific evidence and gray literature were synthesised consistent with the RAMESES publication standards for realist synthesis. Based on an iterative keyword search in electronic databases (e.g., PubMed) and screening, 34 works from 2005 to 2019 were included in a realist synthesis. Theory-informed context-mechanism-outcome configurations (CMOs) were extracted, to explain underlying processes and mechanisms. Characterised by their interrelatedness, the dominant CMOs included the UMRs' intersections of transitions (e.g., adolescence and migration), their needs for culture-, and gender-sensitive PSC, and the undersupply of PSC. These contexts and outcomes are mediated by pre-, peri- and post-migratory stressors as well as care structures and are moreover influenced by overarching discourses and concepts. They comprise adverse and beneficial mechanisms in the PSC of UMRs. The existing literature grasps the PSC of UMRs by different disciplines and approaches but does not offer a comprehensive overview on micro-macro intersections and included discourses. The inclusion of lay perspectives and an intersectional approach could inform health service research. The reflection of UMR-related categorical constructs of resilience and vulnerability, discourses of othering, as well as restrictive health policies may guide policy recommendations. In addition,the relative importance of local habitat versus landscape composition remains unclear. We investigated how the presence ofsemi-natural grasslands, the number of woody elements and the composition of the wider agricultural landscape affect bird spe-cies richness, true diversity (exponential Shannon diversity) and species composition. Bird communities were surveyed fourtimes on 16 paired transects of 250 m each with 8 transects placed between a cropfield and a semi-natural grassland and 8transects between two cropfields with no semi-natural grasslands in the vicinity. The number of woody elements around trans-ects was selected as an important predictor in all models, having a positive effect on species richness and true diversity, whilethe local presence of semi-natural grasslands was not selected in the best models. However, species richness and true diversityincreased with increasing cover of ley and semi-natural grasslands, whereas species composition was modified by the coverageof winter wheat at the landscape scale. Furthermore, bird species richness, true diversity and species composition differedbetween sampling dates. As bird diversity benefited from woody elements, rather than from the local presence of semi-naturalgrasslands as such, it is important to maintain woody structures in farmland. However, the positive effect of grassland at thelandscape scale highlights the importance of habitat variability at multiple scales. Because species richness and true diversitywere affected by different landscape components compared to species composition, a mosaic of land-use types is needed toachieve multiple conservation goals across agricultural landscapes. This kind of injury is mainly based on intrinsic factors such as structural overload which accounts for 17% of all moderate and severe competition injuries. Following knee and ankle joint, hamstrings are the third most common structure to suffer from injuries. As previous reviews show, eccentric training, such as the Nordic Hamstring Exercise (NHE), can reduce hamstring injuries. However, in those reviews other sports in addition to soccer were also examined in one sample. Purpose: The aim of this review is to synthesize the best available evidence on the effectiveness of the NHE as an intervention in the prevention of hamstring injuries in soccer players. Methods: The search for the studies was done in the PubMed, PEDro, Cochrane Library and EB-SCO databases. There was no language or time restrictions. Titles, abstracts and full texts of the respective studies were verified by two independent reviewers and selected using the inclusion criteria. In addition, critical evaluation tools were used to assess the methodological qualities of the respective studies followed by data extraction in JBI SUMARI. Meta-analysis was performed. Results: Four studies were included in this systematic review. Three studies compared NHE as an intervention with conventional football training and one study conducted hamstring curls as a control intervention. The duration of the studies ranged from 2.5 to 6.75 months, with a total of 28312 NHE sessions and 25918 training sessions in the control groups. The intervention groups showed a total of 30 hamstring injuries and the control groups developed a total of 80 injuries. A sample of 1780 soccer players were examined, 909 in the intervention groups and 871 in the control groups. The overall mean odds' ratio was significantly below one (95% CI, P= 0.335). The probability of suffering a hamstring injury was between 0.22 and 0.53 times lower in the intervention group than in the control group. The test for heterogeneity showed no significance (I² = 9). Conclusion(s): The NHE can help to reduce hamstring injuries in football players. However, due to the small number of studies included, the result should be interpreted with caution and more clinical studies should be conducted in the future. Implications: Looking at the total number of days lost per player in a season, professional football has a total of approximately 25,900 days lost, which is three times more than in other sports. Every injury is associated with lost time and additional costs. This review aimed to examine a cost-efficient exercise for its preventive effect. Many studies reported which influence different refrigerant have on lowering the skin temperature, to the sensation of pain and the reabsorbing edema. In conclusion it can be stated that a lack of quality and low number of available studies, the efficacy of cryotherapy do not assign and the application after hip and knee arthroplasty is even contradictory. Striking are the various types of information with regard to the duration of application, shape and intensity. Because of the missing evidence for sensibility of application intensity this study aimed to determine influential parameters with moderate cold (11°C) for improving the intensity control. 15 healthy subjects aged 23.2±1.26 were tested. The parameters BMI, fat mass and muscle mass were recorded. All subjects received a cold application by the invented and developed IceCube at the right knee joint for 15 minutes. The temperature was measured for six times with an infrared thermometer at five standardized points of the knee joint. During application and till the last measurement subjects were immobilized. The applied cold application resulted in a significant decrease of temperature in all measuring points concerning the pre-post-comparison. 20 minutes after removing the cuff significant temperature increases in 3 measurement points, still keeping below starting level, were remarked. Furthermore it is evident that the temperature differences of the muscular measuring points are significantly higher than those of the not muscular measuring points. Besides a higher fat portion leads due to the isolation effect in relation to musculature to significantly fewer variations in temperature. This realization is to be considered for an adequate intensity regulation. In order to confirm the force of expression of the results, it requires further investigations with higher test person numbers. That connection is a necessary development of rehabilitative care system in Germany, not least in view of the legal order of the German Pension Insurance to help injured patients and to support their return to work. In the work-related orientation of medical rehabilitation is the professional life of rehabilitation involved in all phases of therapy. Psychosocial care (PSC) is of high importance for UMRs, but little is known about barriers to access and utilisation of PSC across place and gender. The aims of this gender-sensitive qualitative study will be to build on the existing body of literature and to provide qualitative evidence on the contexts and mechanisms of PSC for male and female UMRs in Germany by comparing two German regions. Methods and analysis: Following the study preparing realist review, a qualitative study will be undertaken in Berlin and Central German cities. Approximately 24 experts from the field of PSC and 12 lay UMRs will participate in face-to-face, semistructured interviews. Data will be transcribed and analysed based on the grounded theory research paradigm. Ethics and dissemination: Only participants who have been informed in both German and their native tongue and who have signed a declaration of consent will be included in the study. The study will comply rigorously with German data protection standards. Approval from the Ethical Review Committee at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, Germany has been obtained and granted. The results of the study will be presented at several conferences and will be published in high-quality, peer-reviewed international journals. The results will display a differentiated picture of the PSC of UMRs in Germany. Such knowledge is a precondition for a ‘science of change’ that translates explanations into practical recommendations on how to improve healthcare policies. Because of the monolayer thickness of graphene, improved SMS transistors with a semimetallic graphene-base electrode are now feasible for high-frequency applications. In this study we report about a device that consists of amorphous silicon, graphene, and crystalline silicon. For the first time, this device is fabricated by a four-mask lithography process which leads to significant improvements in the device performance. A strongly increased common-emitter current gain of 2% could be achieved while the on–off ratio improved to 1.6 × 105, which is already higher than predicted theoretically. This could be mainly attributed to better interface characteristics and decreased lateral dimensions of the devices. A cutoff frequency of approximately 26 MHz could be forecasted based on the DC measurements of the device. However, whether there is synchronisation of these strategies at the entire community level is unclear. Here, we combine trait data for 2800 above- and belowground taxa from 14 trophic guilds spanning a disturbance and resource availability gradient in German grasslands. The results indicate that most guilds consistently respond to these drivers through both direct and trophically mediated effects, resulting in a ‘slow-fast’ axis at the level of the entire community. Using 15 indicators of carbon and nutrient fluxes, biomass production and decomposition, we also show that fast trait communities are associated with faster rates of ecosystem functioning. These findings demonstrate that ‘slow’ and ‘fast’ strategies can be manifested at the level of whole communities, opening new avenues of ecosystem-level functional classification. In this study, we fabricated and analyzed a novel graphene-based transistor, which resembles the structure of the barristor but uses a different operating condition. This new device, termed graphene adjustable-barriers transistor (GABT), utilizes a semiconductor-based gate rather than a metal−insulator gate structure to modulate the device currents. The key feature of the device is the two graphene-semiconductor Schottky barriers with different heights that are controlled simultaneously by the gate voltage. Due to the asymmetry of the barriers, the drain current exceeds the gate current by several orders of magnitude. Thus, the GABT can be considered an amplifier with an alterable current gain. In this work, a silicon−graphene−germanium GABT with an ultra-high current gain (ID/IG up to 8 × 106) was fabricated, and the device functionality was demonstrated. Additionally, a capacitance model is applied to predict the theoretical device performance resulting in an on−off ratio above 106, a swing of 87 mV/dec, and a drivecurrent of about 1 × 106 A/cm2.
