TY - CHAP A1 - Malakhova, Anna A1 - Stopp, Horst A1 - Strangfeld, Peter ED - Grunewald, John T1 - Floating Settlements: an additional research area in the building physics T2 - Proceedings of the CESBP Central European Symposium on Building Physics and BauSIM 2016, September 14-16, 2016, Dresden, Germany N2 - The climate change is underway. The colonization of water bodies will be a solution for the near future of some areas. The physics of the building must recognize and handle the risks and chances for building constructions and settlements by the new boundary conditions. In particular, there is specially environment surrounding and the direct contact with the water as well, as the movement, caused by water. The results will be discussed with regards to the room climate, heat exchanger, autarchy and use of pontoons as a living room. The paper presents an overview of the currentituation regarding the floating architecture in the local region of the Lusatian lakeland and all over the world.
