A systematic bibliometric and thematic analysis was conducted using 95 peer-reviewed articles within the period 2010 to 2025 from the Scopus database. Software and frameworks such as VOSviewer and the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews (PRISMA) were employed to analyze publication trends, co-authorship networks, keyword co-occurrence, and themes. The study revealed current research themes such as nature-based solutions for water security, climate-resilient infrastructure and technologies, and practical measures, such as eco-based adaptation and water energy food nexus, as some components of climate policy integration that can enhance water security in Africa. The research employed empirical data using mixed questionnaires of experts and residents to identify various indirect anthropogenic driving factors of forest degradation, analyze rural poverty and causal mechanisms as indirect anthropogenic drivers of forest degradation, and evaluate the level of awareness and community involvement in forest protection. ArcGIS was used to generate the Maps. About 140 sample sizes were utilized for this study. Using purposive and simple random techniques, about 46 and 100 mixed questionnaires were distributed to experts in forest guard and residents, respectively. Data were analyzed using quantitative and qualitative techniques. Findings showed that indirect factors of forest degradation include high tourism demand, poverty, culture and tradition of local communities, lack of forest protection and conservation education, and insufficient land availability. Also, findings showed that rural poverty as an indirect anthropogenic driving factor of forest degradation is attributed to unemployment in rural areas, inadequate land for agriculture, and insufficient productive forestry availability. Additionally, this study revealed that residents are aware that the forest is under the government's protection, and most people in local communities are not involved in activities for forest protection. Therefore, the study suggests that the locals should be involved in the activities that promote forest protection for effective control and management. Using the Kilimanjaro WHS in Tanzania as a case study, we investigated the state of implementing WHC and policies as strategic institutional instruments for forest landscape protection to support the sustainability of forests as a natural heritage. We collected empirical data using surveys of experts and integrated qualitative and quantitative (descriptive) analyses to investigate the implementation level of WHC and policies on forest protection, related the implementation level to primary forest degradation, and identified key challenges confronting the implementation. Key findings showed a low-level implementation of WHC and policies for forest protection. Also, our study showed that low-level implementation is associated with 19.83\% of forest degradation from 1976 to 2020. Additionally, our study identified key challenges confronting all institutional instruments deployed for forest protection, including a lack of forest protection/conservation education in local communities, a low level of law enforcement on forest degradation, inadequate resources, wildfire, a lack of political will, political interference/interests, inadequate personnel, a lack of inter-departmental coordination, and conflicts with local communities. We used a mixed-methods design: semi-structured interviews with residents and experts informed the system requirements, and PVsyst simulations and field monitoring quantified expected performance. The integrated design comprises two 15 m3 ReedBox® natural wastewater treatment units and a 75 kWp agrivoltaic array above olive orchards. The treatment system processes 26 m3 day-1 for irrigation reuse, while the solar plant is estimated to generate 147,700 kWh per year. Performance ratio (PR) results are reported explicitly: monthly PR simulated for 2024 ranged from 0.70 to 0.81 (mean 0.77), while the annual PR estimated by PVsyst under a clean-panel case was 0.85 (85\%). The modeled energy supply covers the treatment units and essential community loads, reducing diesel use and reliance on trucked water. For approximately 120 residents, the Green Village concept improves water security, clean energy access, and local food production, helping to counter rural out-migration. The Colombian state has legally recognised these water communities to meet constitutional and international commitments to universal drinking water access. However, integration occurs through a control-oriented approach, and is accompanied by administrative demands that most community-based providers cannot meet, which leaves them in a persistent informal status. Findings show that co-production practices reproduce governance fragilities and undermine the very social values the water communities are assumed to embody, even as state institutions depend on their work. The implemented co-production model not only requires constant informal negotiation but also fosters clientelism, corruption, socially harmful practices, and conflicts that cannot be resolved within existing structures. Based on qualitative case studies of seven community-based water providers, this article examines how volunteer representatives of these water communities navigate these contradictions, applying improvised strategies to individually sustain functionality. Using a quantitative explanatory design, data was collected from no less than one hundred and sixty-eight respondents in Padang City through direct and online surveys. The sampling method is the Non-Probability Sampling method with a Purposive Sampling approach and it is directed to individuals who meet the following criteria: (1) minimum age of 17 years old; (2) domicile in Padang City; and (3) individuals or households who know bottled water and soft drinks brand. The data analysis, conducted via Structural Equation Modelling (SEM) using SmartPLS, reveals that negative perceptions of greenwashing significantly reduce purchase intentions. However, positive word-of-mouth can mitigate these effects, leading to a higher likelihood of purchase. The findings highlight the critical role of environmental awareness in shaping consumer behavior and suggest that companies should prioritize authentic sustainability practices which could be in terms of third-party certification to maintain consumer trust and optimize their product strategies. Companies are expected to be able to do business responsibly, by paying attention to the end-to-end production process that has minimal waste and minimal impact on the environment, through the development of more environmentally friendly products and optimization of waste management programs. The analysis is based on the results of modeling and simulation of the NG-H2 mixtures in the pipeline that provided the profile of the main parameters such as pressure, temperature and calorific values. Consequently, the economics analysis of repurposing an existing NG pipeline for H2 transportation for a 20-years project period was conducted and including the retrofitting costs of pigging stations, valve stations, and measuring stations. The investigation revealed that the levelized cost of hydrogen transportation (LCOHT ) decreases from 0.83 to 0.46\$/kg-H2 for NG-H2 blends (10 to 50\% H2) respectively. However, establishing a new pipeline demonstrates a direct increase in LCOHT. For instance, the cost of new pipeline starts from 312 M\$ to 324 M\$ in comparison to 1.363-57.27 M\$ for transporting the equivalent NG-H2 blend amount (up to 50\% H2) in repurposed pipeline. These results recommend repurposing the existing pipeline over the establishment of a new pipeline.
