The settlement of water will be a solution during the near future. We should recognize the risks for building envelops and settlements by the new boundary conditions, for instance,offered by the direct contact by the water and water moving. The moving building ground requires a manifold ad-aptation of the structure.In the paper are demonstrated the affects of water waves on floating houses installed on former open cast mines.The pictures of destroyed accesses to such subjects show the necessary of the investigations of affects of water waves to the floating houses. In order to reduce the experimental activities, it should be done by means of numerical simula-tion. It is carried out by means of modern computing equipment and the software ANSYS FLUENT, ANSYS MECHANICAL FSI and ANSYS AQWA. For the validation are available a hydraulic test channel with a dimension of 15m x 5m, a floating platform near the harbor of Großr{\"a}schen Sea and floating houses in the environment of the Lusatian Lakeland.In the results are shown the determination of wave-forces that act on the structure of pontoons, de-velopment of new connecting elements, adapted material and structure versions, damping of the water wave movement and use of wave energy.}, language = {en} } @misc{SzaboMeyerMeieretal., author = {Szabo, Peter and Meyer, Antoine and Meier, Martin and Motuz, Vasyl and Sliavin, Yaraslau and Egbers, Christoph}, title = {Simultaneous PIV and shadowgraph measurements of thermo-electrohydrodynamic convection in a differentially heated annulus}, series = {Technisches Messen}, volume = {89}, journal = {Technisches Messen}, number = {3}, issn = {2196-7113}, doi = {10.1515/teme-2021-0120}, pages = {148 -- 157}, language = {en} } @incollection{SliavinSzaboFruehetal., author = {Sliavin, Yaraslau and Szabo, Peter and Fr{\"u}h, Wolf-Gerrit and Schulze, Bj{\"o}rn and Egbers, Christoph}, title = {Utilizing infrared thermography to investigate baroclinic instability in the differentially heated rotating annulus}, series = {GALA-Fachtagung "Experimentelle Str{\"o}mungsmechanik", 6.- 8. The experiments were conducted during parabolic flight campaigns. In the present study, our primary focus was on the saturation of perturbations induced by thermo-electrohydrodynamic instability. The effect of initial flow conditions on perturbation growth rates is examined when entering the microgravity phase. Furthermore, a series of experimental setups with varied lengths and aspect ratios were considered to investigate the impact of geometry on flow behavior. The present study quantitatively investigated the flow using particle image velocimetry in the meridional and radial-azimuthal planes. Furthermore, direct measurements were taken of the global response of the flow, in this case heat transfer, using a heat flux sensor attached to the outer cylinder wall.}, language = {en} }
