The study material consisted of 24 patients with end-stage hip osteoarthritis scheduled for THA. The patients were examined one day before surgery and consecutively on the 4th day, 9th day, and 10th week postoperatively using the SBMs (weight-bearing chair-rising test, measurements of the maximal isometric torque of the quadriceps muscle); the PBMs (10-m walk, timed up-and-go, and stair-climbing tests); and the functional outcome measure (Harris Hip Score). The results obtained in a given category of tests at different time points were compared, and the correlations between the tests were determined. The reliability of the outcome measures was determined. The results of tests in the studied categories statistically significantly (p < 0.05) improved at the 10th week postoperatively compared to preoperative results. No strong correlations were revealed between the three studied types of outcome measures in THA patients. Therefore, none of them can be considered redundant. Jekauc, et al. 2012, Hinkley et al. 2014). Motor under-development in the school entry health examinations (Schr{\"o}der, 2004), the results of the Saxon MoKIS study (Adler \& Mustard 2009) with their national comparison to the results of KiGGS study point to negative trends in motor performance in pre-school children for Saxony. For pupils the data is insufficient for this purpose. So, the central question of this thesis is: What is the motor fitness of pupils between 6 and 17 years in Saxony like? The basis of the data collection is the 2013 reformed, standardized, nationwide service catalogue of the "Deutscher Olympischer Sportbund". This comprised of age- and sex-specific standard values for the basic skills in the categories strength, coordination, speed and endurance. This information service was organised and supplied by the "Stadtsportbund Dresden e.V." through the "German Sports Badge Day". Of 118 municipal and 26 notified independent schools, 21 Saxon schools participated in the years 2014 and 2015. The motor fitness of 3,335 students was documented and statistically evaluated. Special attention was given to the evaluation regarding school type. Minimum standards in all four categories and proof of swimming skills are required for the attainment of the achievement badge. Therefore in 2014 45\% of N=1,507 and in 2015 50\% of N=1,828 students were able to be awarded a sports badge. Strength and coordination represent with respect to the other disciplines, the greatest challenge and demonstrate a continuation of the already empirically documented trends in pre-school. In addition,125 students would have met the motor-fitness standards if the separate discipline of swimming would not have been a required component. The comparison of the educational institutions with pupils of the same age shows significant differences. From the age of 14, the number of participants as well as the pass rate decreases significantly which requires a more accurate root cause analysis.}, language = {en} }
