MATERIAL/METHOD: Before and after selective iliacal embolization by PAE with a follow up of 6 months 18 male patients (43-78 years, mean 63±3.5 years) with histopathological proven benign prostate hyperplasia were examined by one experienced examiner. A multifrequency high resolution probe (1-6 MHz) was used for transabdominal ultrasound and CEUS with bolus injections of 2.4 ml sulphur-hexafluoride microbubbles. Independent evaluation of color-coded parametric imaging before and after PAE by in PACS stored DICOM loops from arterial phase (10-15 s) up to 1min were performed. Criteria for successful treatment were reduction of early arterial enhancement by changes of time to peak (TTP) and area under the curve (AUC) by measurements in 8 regions of interest (ROI) of 5 mm in diameter at the margin and in the center and changes from hyperenhancement in parametric imaging (perfusion evaluation of arterial enhancement over 15 s) from red and yellow to blue and green by partial infarctions. Reference imaging method was the contrast high resolution 3 tesla magnetic resonance tomography (MRI) using 3D vibe sequences before and after PAE and for the follow up after 3 and 6 months. RESULTS: PAE was technically and clinically successful in all 18 patients with less clinical symptoms and reduction of the gland volume. In all cases color-coded CEUS parametric imaging was able to evaluate partial infarction after embolization with changes from red and yellow to green and blue colors in the embolization areas. Relevant changes could be evaluated for TIC-analysis of CEUS with reduced arterial enhancement in the arterial phase and prolonged enhancement of up to 1 min with significant changes (p = 0.0024). The area under the curve (AUC) decreased from 676±255.04 rU (160 rU-1049 rU) before PAE to 370.43±255.19 rU (45 rU-858 rU) after PAE. Time to peak (TTP) did not change significantly (p = 0.6877); TTP before PAE was 25.82±9.04 s (12.3 s-42.5 s) and after PAE 24.43±9.10 s (12-39 s). Prostate volume decreased significantly (p = 0.0045) from 86.93±34.98 ml (30-139 ml) before PAE to 50.57±26.26 ml (19-117 ml) after PAE. There were no major complications and, in most cases (14/18) a volume reduction of the benign prostate hyperplasia occurred. LUS (convex 1-5 MHz probe) was performed at 6 defined regions for each hemithorax either in supine or prone position. A lung aeration score (LAS, maximum 4 points) was allocated for each patient by calculating the arithmetic mean of the examined lung areas. Score levels were correlated with ventilation parameters and laboratory markers. RESULTS: LAS of 20 patients with ARDS reached from 2.58 to 3.83 and was highest in the lateral right lobe (Mean 3.67). Ferritin levels (Mean 1885μg/l; r = 0.467; p = 0.051) showed moderate correlation in spearman roh calculation. PaCO2 level (Mean 46.75 mmHg; r = 0.632; p = 0.005) correlated significantly with LAS, while duration of ventilation, Horovitz index, CRP, LDH and IL-6 did not. MATERIAL AND METHODS: All examinations were performed using a multi frequency matrix convex probe with high resolution technique (SC6-1U/Resona7, Mindray, Shenzhen, China) by one experienced examiner to evaluate the venous, portal venous and arterial liver flow with digital documentation of the dynamic flow parameters like peak systolic flow, end-diastolic flow and resistance index. For liver parenchymal stiffness changes shear wave elastography was performed with at least 10 measurements. By two independent readers an elevation was performed to evaluate the image quality and the degree of flow artefacts, from 0 = not available to 5 points with excellent image quality without flow artefacts. RESULTS: All 40 patients (24 men, 16 women, age 27-83 years, mean 56±5 years) showed morphology changes from B-Mode of the liver parenchyma to inhomogeneous tissue with higher stiffness evaluated by the shear wave elastography (1.45 m/s up to 2.79 m/s±1.79 m/s, considering F1 up to F4 fibrosis) and in 15 cases histopathologically proven liver cirrhosis. In 9 cases after non-acute thrombosis flow reduction of the portal vein was the reason for the diameter less than 5 mm. Flow parameters for the venous flow were between 8 cm/s up to 29 cm/s, mean 14±4 cm/s, for the hepatic portal vein 5 cm/s up to 57 cm/s, mean 17±5 cm/s, for the hepatic artery systolic flow between 50 cm/s up to 127±33 cm/s, end-diastolic flow from 22 cm/s up to 47±8 cm/s. Resistance index for the hepatic artery was between 0.41 up to 0.73, mean 0.67±0.25. The image quality for CCDS over all cases was evaluated for CCDS between 1 up to 4. The mean quality was 2.5±0.5, for HR Flow in combination with Glazing Flow 3±0.5, with significant differences for the 2 readers (P < 0.01). CONCLUSION: Combination of HR Flow with Glazing Flow could be helpful to evaluate morphological und hemodynamic changes of liver arterial flow, portal venous and venous flow. RESULTS:Ofn=70(meanvalue 48,3 years±20,3 years, range 18-84 years) cases examined, a definitive diagnosis could be made in n=67 cases, confirmed by reference imaging and/or follow-up. Of these, n=22 cases were malignant changes (HCC (hepatocellular carcinoma) n=9, CCC (cholangiocellular carcinoma) n=3, metastases of colorectal carcinomas or recurrences of HCC n=10). In all 12 cases of HCC or CCC, the elastography measurements using the shear wave technique (with values >2m/s to 3.7m/s) showed mean values of 2.3±0.31m/s and a degree of fibrosis of F2 to F4. In n=14 cases, changes in the fat measurement (range 0.51 to 0.72dB/cm/MHz, mean values 0.58±0.12dB/cm/MHz) in the sense of proportional fatty changes in the liver were detected. In the 4 cases of localized fat distribution disorders, the values were >0.7dB/cm/MHz in the sense of significant fatty deposits in the remaining liver tissue. Relevant changes in the viscosity measurements with values >1.8kPa were found in n=31 cases, in n=5 cases of cystic lesions with partially sclerosing cholangitis, in n=13 cases of malignant lesions and in n=9 cases post-interventionally, but also in n=4 cases of benign foci with additional systemic inflammation. CONCLUSIONS:The results are promising and show a new quality of ultrasound-based liver diagnostics. Materials and Methods The aim was to test whether already established programs for AI-assisted sonography of breast lesions and thyroid nodules are also suitable for identifying and measuring superficial lymph nodes. For this purpose, the two programs were used as a supplement to routine ultrasound examinations of superficial lymph nodes. The accuracy of detection by AI was then evaluated using a previously defined score. If available, a comparison was made with cross-sectional imaging. Results The programs that were used are able to adequately detect lymph nodes in the majority of cases (78.6\%). Problems were caused in particular by a high proportion of echo-rich fat, blurred differentiation from the surrounding tissues and the occurrence of lymph node conglomerates. The available cross-sectional images did not contradict the classification of the lesion as a lymph node in any case. Conclusion In the majority of cases, the tested programs are already able to detect and measure superficial lymph nodes. Further improvement can be expected through specific training of the software. The wash in rate (WiR) in benign lesions was 848.3±2,563.7 rU in the center. METHODS: Using a novel premium high-end ultrasound system (Resona A20/Mindray), comparative investigations were conducted on 52 patients, evaluating B-mode morphology, shear wave tissue elastography (STE), and viscosity (STVi) of the liver parenchyma. The study utilized a cohort of 25 healthy volunteers as a control group. The examinations were performed intercostally using a multifrequency convex probe SC7-1U (1-7 MHz) and breath-hold technique, ensuring that at least the highest or second-highest score in the dynamic quality control (5 stars) was achieved. Measurements were made in a color-coded region with a maximum 2 cm diameter and a depth of no more than 2 cm, avoiding bile ducts or blood vessels, at a depth up 2 cm from the liver capsule. RESULTS: A minimum of 10 measurements were taken for each parameter: liver steatosis (based on acoustic attenuation coefficient, USAT), viscosity (STVi), and shear wave elastography (STE) with correlation to fibrosis grade. Reference values for the control group were <1.4 m/s and <5 kPa for STE, with cirrhosis criteria defined as values >2.6 m/s and >15 kPa. For steatosis, values up to 0.5 dB/cm/MHz were considered normal, while values >0.8 dB/cm/MHz indicated fatty liver. Viscosity values <1.7 Pa.s were deemed normal, with >3.6 Pa.s indicating significant abnormality. Major causes of increased viscosity included severe steatosis, active hepatitis, hepatic tumors, or post-ablative states. In all cases, a high-quality indicator score (>93\%) was achieved with at least 4/5 top reference markers in green. CONCLUSIONS: This pilot study confirms the comprehensive capabilities of multimodal imaging for tissue characterization using B-mode, elastography, and new techniques for assessing viscoelasticity. The training protocol was 30 minutes of daily continuous training (treadmill running), five days a week for six weeks. The regimen escalated from a pace of 3 m/min for the initial 5 minutes, to 5 m/min for the following 5 minutes, culminating at 8 m/min for the remainder of the session, all at a 0° incline. A one-way analysis of variance was performed to analyze the gene expression of Nrf2, NOX4, MDA, and SOD in the lungs tissue of rats. RESULTS: The results indicated that, in the experimental groups which underwent continuous training and NBS Superfood supplementation, the expression of the Nrf2 gene exhibited a significant elevation compared to the control group (P < 0.05), while the NOX4, MDA, and SOD genes expression exhibited a significant decline in comparison to the control group (P < 0.05). The results indicate that most guilds consistently respond to these drivers through both direct and trophically mediated effects, resulting in a 'slow-fast' axis at the level of the entire community. Using 15 indicators of carbon and nutrient fluxes, biomass production and decomposition, we also show that fast trait communities are associated with faster rates of ecosystem functioning. The role of thyroid hormones in the regulation of blood flow is determined by the intensity of their production and the quantity in the blood. Presumably, in case of oncological and non-oncological diseases of the thyroid gland, the fluidity of the blood, which depends on the rheological properties, will be different. OBJECTIVE: Our aim was investigating rheological characteristics for studying of changes of rheology in patients with thyrotoxicosis, with benign tumor pathology of the thyroid gland, with thyroid cancer and finding possible diagnostic markers for differentiating benign and malignant thyroid tumors METHODS: In this regard, we examined, using modern methods accepted in clinical practice, a standard list of recommended diagnostic tests in the group of patients (thyrotoxicosis: n = 25; benign tumor: n = 47), thyroid cancer: n = 35) and control group (n = 15), and with new original methods, parameters that describe the rheological properties of the blood, such as blood rheological index, volume, thickness, surface area of erythrocytes, erythrocyte aggregation index, deformation index, plasma viscosity, hematocrits. RESULTS: A general blood test showed that patients with slow flow had a higher blood leukocyte count than the control group, but the amount of hemoglobin was normal, the hematocrit was much higher than in the control group, and the platelet count was close to the lower limit of clinical standards. We obtained details of blood flow by coagulation situation, such as prothrombin time, prothrombin index, international normalized ratio, activated partial thromboplastin time, thrombin time, fibrinogen, and rheological properties such as index of erythrocyte aggregability, index of erythrocyte deformability, plasma viscosity, in silico blood rheological index. CONCLUSSION: Blood flow can be considered as a superposition of vortices with similar frequencies and wave vectors that change after bifurcations or other obstacles in the vascular network. These factors together determine the conditions for structuring the flow of moving blood. Disruption or alteration of these factors results in slow flow. It has been found that the speed of blood flow in the coronary arteries depends on changes in the number and function of red blood cells.
