The grid studies and influence of the boundary condition prescription on the flow behavior in the cyclone and the effectiveness of the particle separation were studied firstly numerically. The turbulent flow was calculated by means of Large Eddy Simulations and this flow problem was calculated parallel using eight processors. It was found theoretically that pressure at the bottom outlet of the cyclone has a significant impact on the particle separation. This impact of the pressure at the cyclone function was examined also using experiments and pressure distributions for different flow rate intensities for several locations in the cyclone were determined. These experimental results can be used for a validation of numerical results. Unlike other machines, in general, the work on the machines of universal processing centers turned out to be more productive. The feed rate of the machine tools is the focus area here. If we increase cutting values, then the tool life is reduced and that leads to higher tool costs. With universal high-performance machines we cannot save costs for tools (we can only save machine tool costs). Compared to universal high-performance machines, we can save tool costs with Universal Machining Center. Their advantage over universal lathes lies not only in the high accuracy, but also in the ability to machine complex parts and automate the working process. The paper considers possibility of reaching high precision in machining the stepped shafts of a 10-ton overhead crane on the lathes. Based on design and technological computation, it was difficult to achieve the required accuracy and roughness of the machined surface in machining a stepped shaft of the overhead crane on a universal lathe. Using the CNC lathe eliminated many of the disadvantages of the step shaft finishing lathing. The paper shows that accuracy of the stepped shaft finishing on a CNC lathe is significantly influenced by the cutting mode parameters. Качество механической обработки во многом зависит от обрабатываемости металла, под которой понимают способность материала подвергаться резанию. Рассмотрены особенности механической обработки втулок по- сле восстановления изношенной внутренней поверхности, состоящей из черного, чи- стового и тонкого растачивания, а также операции хонингования. При механической обработке восстанавливаемых втулок наибольшую трудность представляют операции чернового и чистового растачивания, так как после индукционного напекания с по- следующим раскатыванием твердость получаемых слоев находится в пределах HRC 48…55, что усложняет работу резцов при растачивании втулок. Для наплавки на де- тали, работающие в условиях изнашивания (коррозионного, эрозионного и термиче- ского), применяют порошок ПГ-СР2, имеющий систему легирования Ni-Cr-B-Si. Значительную волнистость и шероховатость поверхности, возникающую в результате наплавки, устраняют накатыванием. Одним из важных вопросов при обработке по- крытий, нанесенных центробежным индукционным напеканием с последующим рас- катыванием, является выбор материала и геометрических параметров режущего ин- струмента для чернового и чистового растачивания. При правильном выборе матери- ала и геометрических параметров расточного резца можно значительно уменьшить износ режущего инструмента, что позволит увеличить его стойкость и производи- тельность обработки, а следовательно, снизить себестоимость изготовления детали. Проведены экспериментальные исследования, позволившие получить графики распределения температуры по диаметрам втулки ци- линдра судового двигателя при ее нагреве и охлаждении. Установлено, что на процесс напекания порошковых материалов существенно влияют теплофизические свойства втулки. Изменяя скорость нагрева, можно получать покрытия при различных значени- ях температуры и времени напекания. Выполнено моделирование распределения тем- пературы в стенке втулки цилиндра при центробежном индукционном напекании в за- висимости от времени напекания, а также с учетом геометрических параметров втулки, теплоотдачи, теплопроводности, материала втулки, температуры внешней среды и т. д. Получены выражения для определения распределения температуры в стенке втулки цилиндра при центробежном индукционном напекании. Задавая значения параметров центробежного индукционного напекания, по полученным формулам можно смодели- ровать и заранее получить распределение температуры в стенке втулки цилиндра.
