Additionally, it gives managers valuable hints in order to improve their products and services. However, despite a long list of successful applications overtime one critical aspect remains—the validation of the importance values by direct measurement. Besides the limitations and critics that accompanied with stated importance techniques, a lot of research results show that it is better to use direct methods in place of indirect measures. Some researchers suggest measuring the customers' priority structure to compensate the critical points within the direct questioning. This study shows how the critical incident technique can be helpful for the validation of such results.}, language = {en} } @misc{SelkaBaier, author = {Selka, Sebastian and Baier, Daniel}, title = {Kommerzielle Anwendung auswahlbasierter Verfahren der Conjointanalyse: Eine empirische Untersuchung zur Validit{\"a}tsentwicklung}, series = {Marketing Zeitschrift f{\"u}r Forschung und Praxis}, volume = {36}, journal = {Marketing Zeitschrift f{\"u}r Forschung und Praxis}, number = {1}, issn = {0344-1369}, pages = {54 -- 64}, language = {de} } @incollection{SchmittBaier, author = {Schmitt, Ingo and Baier, Daniel}, title = {Logic Based Conjoint Analysis Using the Commuting Quantum Query Language}, series = {Algorithms from and for Nature and Life: Classification and Data Analysis}, booktitle = {Algorithms from and for Nature and Life: Classification and Data Analysis}, editor = {Lausen, Berthold and Poel, Dirk van den and Ultsch, Alfred}, publisher = {Springer}, address = {Heidelberg-Berlin}, isbn = {978-3-319-00035-0}, pages = {481 -- 490}, language = {en} } @incollection{Baier, author = {Baier, Daniel}, title = {Bayesian Methods for Conjoint Analysis-Based Prediction: Do We Still Need Latent Classes?}, series = {German-Japanese Interchange of Data Analysis Results}, booktitle = {German-Japanese Interchange of Data Analysis Results}, editor = {Gaul, Wolfgang and Geyer-Schulz, Andreas and Baba, Yasumasa and Okada, Akinori}, publisher = {Springer}, address = {Heidelberg-Berlin}, isbn = {978-3-319-01263-6}, pages = {103 -- 113}, language = {en} } @incollection{SelkaBaierKurz, author = {Selka, Sebastian and Baier, Daniel and Kurz, Peter}, title = {The Validity of Conjoint Analysis: An Investigation of Commercial Studies Over Time}, series = {Data Analysis, Machine Learning and Knowledge Discovery}, booktitle = {Data Analysis, Machine Learning and Knowledge Discovery}, editor = {Spiliopoulou, Myra and Schmidt-Thieme, Lars and Janning, Ruth}, publisher = {Springer}, address = {Heidelberg-Berlin}, isbn = {978-3-319-01595-8}, pages = {227 -- 234}, language = {en} }
