This study evaluated the arthropod communities within areas dominated by three major encroaching shrub species in southern Africa: Dichrostachys cinerea, Senegalia mellifera and Terminalia sericea. Arthropods were sampled in northcentral Namibia using pitfall traps (ground-dwelling), pan traps (flying), and shrub beating (canopy-dwelling) during both wet and dry seasons. Arthropod community composition differed significantly among encroaching species, primarily driven by canopy-dwelling arthropods. Senegalia mellifera supported distinct communities distinguished by the exclusive presence of woodlice (Isopoda), while, D. cinerea and T. sericea plots hosted distinct taxa, including Caelifera, Mantodea and Strepsiptera. Also the trophic composition differed among shrubs, with omnivores dominating S. mellifera and phytophagous arthropods dominating D. cinerea plots. Formicidae and Collembola were numerically dominant across all plots. Brachycera, Curculionidae and Collembola were highly sensitive to local environmental variation, indicating their potential as bio-indicators for monitoring shrub encroachment and effectiveness of management interventions. Overall arthropod abundance positively correlated with ground cover, while taxonomic diversity showed a negative relationship. Therefore, conservation efforts in bush encroached areas should promote vegetation management strategies that enhance structural heterogeneity to support greater arthropod diversity. At its core, to enhance efficiency and performance, PE-CLIP introduces two specialized adapters namely a Temporal Dynamic Adapter (TDA) and a Shared Adapter (ShA). The temporal dynamic adapter is a GRU-based module with a dynamic scaling mechanism, capturing sequential dependencies while adaptively modulating the contribution of each temporal feature to emphasize the most informative ones while mitigating irrelevant variations. The shared adapter is a lightweight adapter refine representations within both textual and visual encoders, ensuring consistent feature processing while maintaining parameter efficiency. Additionally, we leverage Multi-modal Prompt Learning (MaPLe), which introduces learnable prompts to both visual and action unit-based textual description inputs, further improving the semantic alignment between modalities and enabling the efficient adaptation of CLIP for dynamic tasks. We evaluate our proposed PE-CLIP on two benchmark datasets, namely DFEW, FERV39K, and AFEW, achieving competitive performance compared to state-of-the-art methods while requiring fewer trainable parameters. By striking an optimal balance between parameter efficiency and performance, PE-CLIP sets a new benchmark in resource-efficient DFER. The methodology synthesized findings to identify meta-requirements and derive design principles through interpretive analysis. Results: Eleven meta-requirements were identified and synthesized into four design principles: the principle of SME empowerment, the principle of open boundaries, the principle of transparent and fair participation terms, and the principle of reflection of individuality. In combination, these principles pro-pose a framework for future digital platform design that takes SME complementor needs into account. Conclusion: The conceptual proposal of four design principles guides researchers and practitioners in creating SME-suitable digital platforms with stakeholder-centric design approaches. In this proof-of-concept-study, a dual-doped TiO2 nanophotocatalyst (Au2/Y5/P25) was synthesized by combining gold (Au) nanoparticles and yttrium (Y) dopants to enhance charge separation and reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation. Structural characterization supported Au deposition on the TiO2 surface and Y incorporation into the lattice, accompanied by a slight band-gap narrowing. Under UV irradiation in aqueous solution (unbuffered pH 5.8, room temperature) the nanophotocatalyst exhibited distinct degradation pathways for 1000 µg L-1 of two representative PFAS, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and Capstone B (6:2 FTAB), reflecting environmentally prevalent groups. PFOA underwent 99 \% degradation within 100 min via a stepwise CF2-cleavage mechanism, generating a sequence of perfluorocarboxylic acids down to perfluorobutanoic acid (PFBA), consistent with enhanced electron-hole separation. In contrast, Capstone B showed rapid, single-step S-N bond cleavage to 6:2 perfluorooctanesulfonic acid (6:2 PFOS), primarily driven by hole- and •OH-mediated oxidation under oxygen-rich conditions. This process achieved 96 \% degradation within 20 min but did not proceed to further defluorination, indicating oxidative limitations. Dissolved oxygen analysis revealed efficient electron utilization and sustained oxidative turnover without excessive oxygen depletion. The findings demonstrate that Au/Y co-doping promotes selective PFAS activation, enabling rapid precursor oxidation while exposing the kinetic limits of secondary C-F bond cleavage. However, heritage remains largely overlooked in global climate policy frameworks. Its inclusion has been limited to the Warsaw International Mechanism on Loss and Damage and the UAE Framework for Global Climate Resilience. Additionally, key mechanisms of the Paris Agreement—such as Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), National Adaptation Plans (NAPs), and the Global Stocktake—fail to sufficiently integrate heritage concerns, despite their importance in building climate resilience. Addressing this gap requires expanding climate policy discussions to incorporate insights from heritage experts, policymakers, and networks. This research assesses the existing knowledge and policy gap, analysing how heritage is considered in submitted NDCs and NAPs.
