Polish pedagogical studies, with a few exceptions, still discount contemporary trends in psychoanalysis. Erich Fromm was the critical followers of Freud. His thoughts are often called humanistic psychoanalysis or radical humanism. Fromm is calling into question the universal opinions and theories. Fromm does not limit the concept of authority only to the psychoanalytic category of the superego or authoritarian personality (sadomasochistic), examined by the Frankfurt School. Fromm’s category of authority is almost always used in the context of opposition to conformism of contemporary society. Although Fromm criticizes the authority, not all relations of authority – subordinate are pathological. For example good teacher does not HAVE authority, but his IS authority; this relation is free from the exploitation of people. The pedagogy of radical humanism criticizes conformity and demystifies lot of anti-humanistic ideologies. The understanding of Fromm’s authority concept is a clue to resolve many contemporary educational problems.
Health is a subject of reflection of many sciences: medical, social, and economic. It is a very difficult category to define, because it is multifaceted, multi-dimensional. Undoubtedly it is a value, which on the one hand, it may become aim of human activity (in this sense, health is the value of autotelic, that is valued for its own sake), on the other hand, health can be regarded as a value by which a person can function well into old age, deriving satisfaction from life and pursue differ-ent priorities in life (instrumental value).
Health is a fundamental right of every man, and also a kind of social capital, because only healthy people can produce a variety of good material and cultural progress. Therefore extremely urgent task for modern education is for health education. Health and disease issues are often undertaken by living in the twentieth century American psychologist and philosopher of German origin – Erich Fromm, who was looking for recipes for >healthy society<. The aim of this paper is to present the biomedical and holistic model of health and illness, and then on this back-ground scratching E. Fromm views on human nature and determinants of health condition. The article will take a reflection on the meaning of love in the process of caring for terminally ill people, which Erich Fromm considered the fundamental question of human existence.
This bachelor's thesis deals with Fromm's perspective to the dilemma of formalization of character in accordance to genders and its differences. This thesis is conceived from general Fromm's description of man's character to detailed description of the social organization and genders perspective. In the first part we focus on general concept of character with emphasis to social character, because it is variable and from Fromm's view is fundamental for its formulation. In the second chapter we mainly addict our self to social structures and their distinct effects which would arised during the formalization of character. In the last chapter we pay attention to individual gender. We are looking for the principal element, which affects character of man and woman from Fromm's perspective.
[Blurb] Studium z pogranicza psychologii, antropologii i filozofii mitu. Autorka analizuje wkład psychoanalizy do badań nad realnością mitu i rozumieniem psychiki pierwotnej. Omawia znaczenie teorii nieświadomości dla wyjaśnienia totemizmu, mitycznych i religijnych bohaterów.Ważną częścią studium jest prezentacja hermeneutycznych i finalistycznych poglądów Junga, w tym teorii archetypu, symboliki odrodzenia, obrazu matki i mitu ofiary. Analiza postaci herosa solarnego, archetypu Boga, mitologii zła, obrazu misterium królewskiego i innych symboli alchemicznych ukazuje możliwość pogłębionych badań nad funkcją i istotą wyobraźni mitycznej.Autorka prezentuje ponadto poglądy Fromma i innych autorów, w tym współczesne ujęcia mitu (R. Barthes. E. Neumann, G. Bachelard, M. Eliade, G. Durand, P. Ricoeur, A. Grünbaum, J. Derrida).
