Psychoanalysis and Ethics: Beyond the pleasure principle
- Suggests that E. FROMM's (1947) reflections on the nature of character can serve as a launching pad to delve into the complex arena of the intersection between psychoanalysis and ethics. Using as a basis the proposition that psychoanalysis has a role to play as one of the scientific approaches contributing to the database for ethical reflection, the following topics are discussed: the traditional view, ethics in psychoanalysis, values in psychoanalysis, and psychoanalysis in ethics.
