This research is a literature study by analyzing Arabic literary works in the form of novels and used Erich Fromm's psychosocial approach to the concept of love. The novel >Fi Qalbi Untsa 'Ibriyyah< presents the characters who initially live in a peaceful atmosphere and love each other, then the love turned into conflict after their different religious identities are unveiled. The characters have two choices: either following their feelings of love for humanity regardless religious identity or leaving their love by reason of obeying religious boundaries as a form of love for God. Research becomes important when it is found that love that departs from feelings of personal liking without seeing social ties can actually lead to many conflicts when it comes to meeting religious identity and its boundaries. N2 - In the contemporary era when the rapid development of science and technology has caused many life safety issues, especially in the context of the new crown pneumonia (Coronavirus 19) epidemic, it is the unshirkable responsibility of contemporary intellectuals to learn from historical experience and make every effort to prevent the recurrence of disasters. Although the Chernobyl nuclear disaster has become history, the problems left over from history are far from being properly resolved. How to properly handle the taboo space of >Chernobyl< is one of the leftover problems of disasters facing contemporary society. This article takes Bradley Parker’s thriller >Chernobyl: A Record of Ghost Towns< (2012, Chernobyl Diaries) as an example to examine the contemporary spatial presentation of Chernobyl. The film tells the horror experience of a group of tourists seeking excitement after entering the exclusion zone Chernobyl. The Chernobyl presented in the film fits well with the contemporary real-life Chernobyl space. The Chernobyl constructed by the film is a mixed field of no man’s land, consumer space, and political power discipline space. The author tries to explore the mechanisms of their respective operations and the relationship between them. I believe that from Erich Fromm) the sound man and the construction of a sound society in the mouth contribute a little. Chernobyl is a mixed and mutually restricted field of no-man’s land, consumption area, and political power discipline area; State political power occupies a dominant position in the Chernobyl space. Behind the operation of no-man’s land and consumer zone is the default and permission of state political power to a certain extent. Due to the nuclear disaster, Chernobyl was operated in an >exceptional state< by the political management department. Under this operating mechanism, civilized social systems and norms such as national laws, human rights, morals and ethics have disappeared. Individual lives instantly become what Agamben calls >bare life<, and they can be deprived of the right to survive by anyone else. Therefore, we urgently need to think about the path of constructing a >sound society< and then cultivating a >sound individual life<. Y1 - 2021 ER - TY - JOUR A1 - Töpfer, Nils F. T1 - >Where does it come from?<: A call for explicating implicit theories of interpretive and supervisory techniques in psychoanalytic supervision JF - International Forum of Psychoanalysis, Vol. 30 (No. 1, 2021), pp. 046-055. N2 - The knowledge culture of psychoanalysis relies heavily on the practical wisdom of competent psychoanalytic clinicians. In order to become competent analysts, analysts in training should not content themselves with trusting in their supervisors’ intuition and expertise. There is a need for supervisors and supervisees to explicate implicit theories of interpretive and supervisory techniques in psychoanalytic supervision by raising the question >Where does it come from?< with regard to three too often neglected issues. First, both the supervisor and the analyst in training should actively and constantly try to make transparent the process of contextualization, that is, the methodology of inferring latent meaning from manifest content through privileging certain pieces of information over others. Second, it should become an ongoing task in supervision that concrete (recommendations about) technical interventions are embedded in and reflect the application of a particular theory of technique. This facilitates an understanding that goes beyond the interpretation in a concrete situation and helps to generalize learning into a gradually expanding, integrated technical framework. Third, we should reflect and explicate the (predominant) supervisory approaches we are using in order to remain flexible with regard to both supervisory material and ways of reacting to it. Discussing these issues will enable analysts in training to develop their own psychoanalytic identity and integrated frame of reference for their practice that they critically and deliberately reflect upon and actively acquire rather than passively and seemingly intuitively absorb and adopt. Examples for illustrating the explication of theories of interpretive and supervisory techniques are provided. [Online ISSN 2238-2860] [cadernosdeto.ufscar.br/index.php/cadernos/article/view/2924/1537] N2 - Introduction: Despite struggling to establish itself as an autonomous profession, occupational therapy remains extensively regulated and controlled by discursive authorities inside and outside the discipline. After overcoming the profession’s reformist ideals, the military governance that supported its rapid expansion morphed into civil institutions but both were based on similar grounds: occupational therapists should obey a strict set of rules while disobedience and dissent are consistently repressed or silenced. Objective: The objective of this article is to deconstruct dominant (consensual) discourses that shape the status quo in occupational therapy and envision alternative paths for the development of the discipline. Method: Drawing on the work of Erich Fromm and Jacques Rancière, we propose a (critical) theoretical analysis of the concepts of disobedience and dissensus as they apply to occupational therapists. Results: The concepts of disobedience (Fromm) and dissensus (Rancière) can be used to revisit the consensus shaped by discursive authorities inside and outside occupational therapy and expose the political nature of such processes. We argue that remaining oppressive forces similar to those of a warfare regime persist in regulating occupational therapy practice and knowledge by enacting a form of >disciplinary propaganda.< Rather than threatening the development of the discipline, disobedience and dissensus constitute critical responses to disrupt dominant discourses and give rise to healthier concepts. Conclusion: The use of politically charged terms such as disobedience or dissensus can be seen as controversial and unsettling for a profession like occupational therapy but we believe they are necessary for the future of our discipline. N2 - This paper’s objective is to see Richard, the main character of Angélica Liddell’s play >The Year of Richard<, through the lens of psychoanalytical theories of Erich Fromm. The concept that has turned out to be especially useful while interpreting this modern rewriting of the famous tragedy by Shakespeare is >necrophilous orientation<, a term coined by Fromm to describe a character that is destructive, showing a clear fixation on activities and processes that are contrary to life, development and growth. Freud, whose theories were revised and expanded by Fromm, proposed a concept that may be seen as complementary to the aforementioned term, namely that of >anal character<, which has also been used in the present analysis. Just as Liddell does in her play, the paper focuses on a close relationship between the main character´s psychological structure and his public life, suggesting the same mechanisms are at play in politics.
