It represents the next step in the integration of the author's earlier work on the developmental hierarchy of motivational systems with recent findings on affective neuroscience. A general conclusion relates to the parallel and mutually influential development of neurobiological affective and cognitive systems, ultimately controlled by genetic determinants, and psychodynamic systems, ultimately corresponding to both reality and motivated distortions of the internal and external relations with significant others. From the point of view of the psychoanalytic treatment of severe psychopathology, with fixation at the level of identity diffusion, the concepts of interpretation and mentalization as well as structural change are reformulated.}, language = {en} } @article{Kernberg, author = {Kernberg, Otto F.}, title = {The feminine/prenatal weaving in matrixial subjectivity-as-encounter}, series = {Psychoanalytic Dialogues Vol. 13 (2003), pp. 411-417.}, journal = {Psychoanalytic Dialogues Vol. 13 (2003), pp. 411-417.}, language = {en} } @article{Kernberg, author = {Kernberg, Otto F.}, title = {The Gorilla Did It: Some Thoughts on Dissociation, the Real, and the Really Real}, series = {Psychoanalytic Dialogues Vol. 13 (2003), pp. 443-444.}, journal = {Psychoanalytic Dialogues Vol. 13 (2003), pp. 443-444.}, language = {en} } @book{Kernberg, author = {Kernberg, Otto F.}, title = {Borderline conditions and pathological Narcism, New York (Jason Aronson) 1975.}, language = {en} } @article{Kernberg, author = {Kernberg, Otto F.}, title = {A Concerned Critique of Psyc hoanalytic Education}, series = {International Journal of Psychoanalysis, Vo. 81 (2000), pp. 97-120.}, journal = {International Journal of Psychoanalysis, Vo. 81 (2000), pp. 97-120.}, language = {en} }
