Seeman's (1959) conception, 2 psychological approaches to alienation (AL) are noted. In the 1st approach, AL is understood as the contents of the individual's consciousness. In the 2nd, AL is a part of the theoretical order of the ontology of social being and constitutes a characterization of the objective relationship holding between the individual and fetishized social structure. E. FROMM's (1965) characterization of the alienated individual, shows that the predictions concerning AL following from the 2 approaches are different. The analysis of the category AL as inspired by the works of Marx, G. Lukacs (1982), and D. L. Harvey et al (1983-84) is able to overcome these apparent contradictions. Under the influence of various psychological factors, the sense of AL may lead to diversified consequences (e.g., either to actual elimination of AL or to serious psychological consequences).}, language = {pl} }
