N2 - The Sea-Wolf, one of Jack London’s representative works, has received heated discussions since publication. However, alienation thoughts in this book have barely been noticed. This paper intends to analyze the overall image of alienation in The Sea-Wolf from three aspects: alienation between man and the objective world, between man and man, and alienation of individual characters with the help of and Marx’s and Fromm’s alienation theories, and points out two ways London has intimated to restore from alienation.
