Abstract
The e/e-architecture is an essential part of current vehicles. The present document deals with the introduction of Ethernet and IP for e/e-architectures. First, the technology analysis shows concepts and results related to the topics fault tolerance, time synchronization, and data rate optimization. The second step deals with the mixed usage of Ethernet and IP with CAN and FlexRay. Finally, the simulation and integration of Ethernet/IP-based networks within the vehicle is considered.
